As dangerous as it is, many people don’t know what it is. What activities constitute distracted driving?
Simply put, it is any one of the following:
- Texting
- Using your cell phone
- Eating
- Talking to passengers
- Grooming
- Reading, or checking a map
- Using a GPS device
- Adjusting a radio, or MP3 player
In short, any mental, auditory, manual, visual or other task that takes your attention or abilities away from driving is “Distracted Driving”.
